Dear Survivor,
Thank you for inquiring about the “Journey to
Total Freedom” class. Your decision to start your journey to freedom is the beginning of restoration
and healing from the effects of childhood abuse. The class is designed for women who have endured mental, physical, and sexual
abuse. The focus during the class is
not on the abuse experience itself. We
will use a Biblically based study to help you connect the dots between what
happened in the past and what challenges you face at the present. You will begin to put together a
strategy to take ownership of your choices through the use of Biblical tools to help you move
beyond the abuse.
During this class, ideas and perspectives are presented that will empower you. You
will find you can approach Jesus Christ as a fellow abuse survivor. As lies are dismantled and exchanged for the
truth, you will see the prison of self-defeating behavior in a new light. From this vantage point, you will be able to
see new possibilities.
Along with other women who understand, you will
learn more than you can imagine and experience God in a new and intimate
way. The goal of the “Journey to Total
Freedom” class is to gently and practically point survivors toward spiritual
health and break the cycles of abuse. The reclamation does not happen quickly, that’s why it’s called a
journey.
“Journey to Total Freedom” begins mid August. Because of the sensitivity of the subject, I will contact students
with specific dates and time of the class at registration. Class will meet every week for 11 consecutive weeks
and will usually last 2 hours. Nursery will be provided. Cost is $20 for each attendee. (This covers the cost of the books.)
Please fill out the personal profile to register for the class. You may use the registration link, email, or contact me personally.
