The following list is a compilation of the feelings that emotionally, physically, and sexually abuse victims experience. Many victims experience all of these feelings, while some only experience a few.
| anger | loneliness |
| anxiety | pain |
| bitterness | panic |
| confusion | rage |
| depression | shame |
| sorrow | shattered confidence |
| fear | post-traumatic stress syndrome |
| frustration | (caused by smells, sounds, touches, ect. |
| grief | that trigger memories of abuse.) |
| guilt | low self-esteem |
| humiliation | suicidal thoughts |
| isolation | vindictiveness |
No matter how many symptoms you have experienced, the hurt from abuse is too deep for any human being to heal another. The only true hope for freedom from the pain is through a personal relationship through Jesus Christ. Only He can heal the wounds.
